November 30- December 31- Lara will be playing the role of Amber in Hairspray at the beautiful Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA. She will also be playing Alice in their family series production of Alice in Wonderland and becoming a member of Actor's Equity Association! December 28 - February 11, 2012 - Lara will be playing Christine Colgate in the Schoolhouse Theater’s production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on lovely Sanibel Island, FL January 15 - Lara has been nominated for a Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Clara in The Light in the Piazza at the Stage Door Theater! February 17- March 17, 2012 -Lara will be playing Woman 1 in Das Barbecu, a wild and wonderful country western musical, at the Herb Strauss Theater in Sanibel, FL |
Lara grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and attended public school in the northern
suburb of Wexford. She started performing at the age of 11 in Act One Theater School’s production
of Peter Pan (she played a pirate, and also happened to meet her now-husband, who was playing Smee).
Active in choir, high school plays and musicals, local community theater, and the thespian society
until her graduation, Lara moved to NYC in August of 2003 to get her degree at Pace University.
She graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theater and a minor in Literature. Lara was
recently cast in her first national tour, and has several other regional/New York credits. She
continues to live in NYC with husband Trey and cat Henry.
